[1] Obit: 1524. Feb. 9. Death of John Malloch McHustone at Tullichcamin; he was buried at Killin

[5] 22 Sep 1580 - Bond of caution by Neil McEan Vallich in Ardewinch and Gregor McNeill VcEan Vallich, his son, in Tullochannane, to Colin Campbell of Glenurquhay and Duncan Campbell, fiar thereof, his son, for Ewin McGregour, tutor of Glensthray, Duncan and Patrick McGregours, his brothers german, and Alexander McGregour, their natural brother, their friends, servants and complices of the surname of Clangegour, for fulfillment of contract, 11 September 1580. Killin

[6] John Malloch McHustone appears to have had two sons, There is a probability that the eldest was named Gregor and the second Neil
2. Neil, Father of Gregor McNeil Vclanvallich in Ardewnaig mentioned Feb. 4. 1589-90 after the death of Drummondearnoch. This Gregor McNeill in Ardewnych is also mentioned 2d of the Gang of the House of Roro in a list of principal men. Therefore it is possible that his father was the eldest son. Donald McGregor VcNeil, evidently son of Gregor VcNeil, is mentioned in 1628. Amelia states the line does not appear again however he can be found in Glenalmond at the property Dallick in 1645 but has died by 1649 as he is not mentioned in the 1649 list. He appears to have at least one son. Donald McConneil

[8] "Gregor MacNeill MacInwalliche in Ardewinch, (Ardewnaig).", - #98-1586 list; #73-1590; #5-1592; not listed in 1601

and #34-1613b (Patrik) McGregour his brother
John Roy appears to have come of age between 1586 and 1589 suggesting he may have been born ~1568.

[17] 1603 - July 14 - John dubh McEan mhallich McGregor in Comrie - Justiciary sentenced to hang
The 1601 list gives Gregor McNeil as a member of the Roro family and interestingly he is listed first on the list suggesting the importance of the family.
The 1611 list gives Donald as being at Glenfruin.
It is likely that John Dow was a signicant participant at Glenfruin and that may have selected him out for special execution at Edinburgh Castle in 1604.

15. James McGregor there,
16. Neill McConneil VcNeale there,
20. David Malloch in Corrymucklack
106. Neale McConnell VcNeale VcGregor in Glenalmond
16 and 106. Neil McConneil VcNeale VcGregor who can only be from the Ardeonaig/Roro line. The 1602 list #48 is a Donald McNeil who has to be the father of this individual. A Donald McGregor is listed as living at Dallick in 1646 but seems to have died before 1649 as he is not listed.

[22] This is speculative for a link to Gregor born in 1752:
Gregor baptised in Monzievaird on 26/7/1752 to Alexander McGregor and Margaret McGregor - there is no trace of a marriage or other children.
He is in fact, the only recorded Gregor McGregor in the county of Perth in 1752. That doesn't mean there weren't others or that he might have been recorded under an alias. In the adjoining parish of Fowlis Wester there was an Alexander baptised by father John McGregor on 19/3/1721
and Gregor McGregor baptised Hugh on 20/7/1689 and John on 20/1/1694 also in Fowlis Wester
This may not be correct but at least it does not involve significant movement.
The most important clue might be that the house of Gregor (born 1752) in Canada was called Coinachan.
Neil pointed out that there are several possible Coinachan placenames - one in upper Glen Almond and the other nearer Monzievaird.
Neil also pointed out that the Glen Almond area had several McGregor lineages: Alasdair galt's line; the Glenlednocks; and possibly Roro/Ardeonaig
