MacGregor, G. Red Book of Scotland, vol 6, p 278 - JOHN MALLOCH, was a younger son of Ewen Malloch and was witness with his brother, Patrick Chaoldich,1 to a Sasine for the lands of Comrie in favour of John de Comrie as eldest son and heir of John de Comrie of that Ilk, his father, in
1495.2 from whom his descendants in the Comrie area adopted their patronymic
of “MacIainmalloch”

MacGregor, G. Red Book of Scotland, vol 6, p 279 - Patrick Drummond, 1st of Culcrieff, acquired the three-quarter part lands of Culcreiff from Robert Graham of Panholes on 2 May 1629[1],
then those of Balhaldie, Culcrieff and the Glebe lands of the kirk of Monzievaird called “Ilbert” which were confirmed to him by charter under the Great Seal dated 9 August 1642.[2] He m. Janet Stewart and d. in March 1661[3] having had issue; Patrick MacGregor alias Drummond, younger of Culcrieff, m. Isobell, daughter of Archibald Campbell, 1st of Lagvinsheoch and Monzie (c/m at Crieff, on 18 November and 1 December 1643. She survived him and m. secondly, to John Ireland of Milnholl), and to whom his father conveyed the lands of Culcrieff in implementation of their marriage.[4] He died sp in either June or July 1645,[5] possibly in the Royalist wars in which the Clan Gregor were conspicuous, and was succeeded by his brother, John. John MacGregor alias Drummond, younger of Culcrieff, succeeded his brother and had special service as heir to him in the lands of Culcrieff and the glebe of Monzievaird, on 2 July 1646.[6] He m. in 1653, to Agnes, daughter of James Bain, 2nd of Findal, (she survived him and m. secondly, at Dunblane on 7 April 1656, to George Graham, fiar of Glenny[7]), whom he infeft in the liferent of the lands of Culcrieff on 15 November 1653, and died sp in December 1656.[8] Duncan MacGregor alias Drummond, 4th of Culcrieff, (see below).
