| IN 2015 I came across information from a present-day Steven Richard Hartley who descends in the male line from "King" David Hartley. He has produced a document describing the family including family pictures of his line and a pdf of a family tree showing his descent from "King" David's son Isaac, whereas mine is from "King" David's elder son, also David, and then his daughter Ann. Steven has kindly given me his permission to include these. Click here to download the document and Click here to download the pdf family tree I would point out that the generations prior to "King David" are purely speculative on my part. There are Hartleys in the Parish Record prior to him. I believe it is very probable that his parents were William Hartley and Mary Eastwood. The three earlier generations on this page are picked as quite likely from the names gleaned form a study of the parish record but are no more than possibilities. The names Edward, Bernard and Joseph do not appear in later generations and this may be evidence against my suggestions. |
